Elegant Condolence Card

A Pinterest favorite……

This card base used a Darice Embossing folder which I found particularly appealing. The flowers and paper are all Stampin Up…. Flowering Fields was part of 2016 Sale-A-Bration but is very nicely replaced with the currently available Wild About Flowers. My instructions will use that stamp set as it is readily available.

Paper Needed:

*Card Base Thick Whisper White cut 8 1/2 X 5 1/2; scored at 4 1/4
*Card Top Layer Old Olive 5 1/2 X 4 1/4
*White Layer Whisper White 5 1/4 X 4

  1. Emboss Whisper White Card Layer with desired folder (I used Darice)
  2. Stamp Flowers in Old Olive along the bottom border of the White Embossed layer
  3. Color flower with Stampin Write Markers (Bright Collections)
  4. Cut 8″ ribbon; create bow in center by wrapping ribbon around a thick marker, knotting, slipping off marker and snipping “bubble” to make a bow
  5. Use Glue Dots to adhere Ribbon ends to back of embossed layer about ‘3/4 to 1 inch from bottom
  6. Using snail, adhere Whisper White layer to Old Olive layer
  7. Using snail, adhere Old Olive Base to Thick Whisper White Card Base

    • Sorry, for the delay, Peggy….I have been travelling. I am not sure if this Darice folder is still available. I bought it at JoAnn’s several years ago and would think it could be found by Googling Darice embossing folders or searching JoAnn’s or Amazon. Sorry, I can’t be more helpful…Mary Beth
